Equity in Action Starts Here

For two powerful days, I facilitated a group of dedicated leaders who came together to explore how they can deepen their impact through equity-centered leadership. We moved beyond strategy and into the real work of influence, communicating a clear vision, motivating others to align with your vision, and coaching people in delivering on the vision. We had honest conversations —naming what’s working, what’s getting in the way, and what actions are needed to create cultures of accountability and care. Through rich discussion, challenge, and support, these leaders practiced showing up as managers and as catalysts for change across their teams and communities.

One of the most energizing moments came when we asked: “What can we do?” The resulting ideas—spanning role-modeling, charters with equity-focused questions, hiring practices, cultural listening, and systemic alignment—revealed a powerful collective clarity. These aren't just action items; they’re commitments. It’s inspiring to witness leaders embrace the complexity of equity work while identifying clear ways to move forward, together.
